Who are we?

Greenlink Sandbelt operates a not-for-profit community nursery offering some of the rich variety of plants that flourished in Melbourne's sandbelt area before European settlement.

We collect our own seeds and cuttings from sites of remnant vegetation and propagate over 15,000 plants each year

Our aims are:
- to educate and advise the local community about the value of indigenous flora and fauna
- to propagate indigenous plants for revegetation projects, both large scale such as in Council reserves and golf courses and backyard sized
- to assist with special activities by local councils, schools and other community groups.
The site of Greenlink Sandbelt's nursery is generously provided by Spring Valley Golf club.
Our nursery is run by volunteers from many backgrounds who are linked by an interest in plants and the desire to make a practical 'hands-on' contribution to our natural environment.
